Lysimachia is a vigorous, trailing perennial, commonly known as Creeping Jenny. This carpeting perennial is native to Europe but naturalized in the eastern United States. Goldii spreads rapidly to form attractive mats of small, rounded, lime colored leaves, studded with fragrant bright yellow flowers in late spring and early summer. The expression of leaf color is determined by sunlight exposure. Larger quantities of sunlight will result in rich lime leaves while smaller amounts of sunlight exposure will result in cooler tones of chartreuse leaves. Utilize this versatile plant to meet your garden’s need for texture and color.
Lysimachia Goldii is a unique variety bred by Syngenta. It is commonly used as a trailing accent plant in hanging baskets, window boxes, and container combinations. Goldii also looks lovely spilling over a rock wall and acting as low-trailing ground coverage throughout the landscape. Goldii grows best in moist, fertile, well-drained soil, and is a full to partial sun exposure flower. A unique feature of Goldii is that it self seeds prolifically in moist soils. Goldii thrives in the heat and is easy to grow. Lysimachia will continuously bloom all season long. Key features of this variety are drought tolerance, deer resistance, and that it does not require deadheading.
