The Lucas Greenhouse story began in the fall of 1978, when George and Louise Lucas purhased four acres of land from Louise's father and constructed a two gutter connected 30 x 150 foot greenhouse.

On April 7, 1979, Lucas Greenhouses was officially open for business. Our product line spoke for itself, excellence was always our first priority, and it paid off. After only one year, we had more demand than we had product. So up went four more gutter connected greenhouses, so that we could better serve our existing customers and reach out to new ones.

This pattern of, producing a high quality product resulting in our need to increase production space, has continued ever since.  While the types of structures we now build to grow in have changed, the standard for which we grow has remained constant.

Our focus is on Excellence.

We gear our product toward the Independent Garden Center, striving to give them the very best in both plant material and service.  For over 40 years, Lucas Greenhouses has been on the cutting edge of the latest trends in greenhouse technology, methods, efficiencies, and plant culture

We look forward to continuing to partner with our customers in the future to bring them the very best.
