Growing Tips for Homeowners:

Celosia is a low-maintenance plant that is a favorite among both gardeners and landscapers. While they are both heat and drought tolerant they do not like the cold at all. Be sure to wait to plant until after the threat of frost has passed. Choose a sunny spot for your plants that also is home to well draining soil. Water needs for the plant are average.  You should apply a granular slow release fertilizer upon installation and follow that up every couple weeks with a complete balanced liquid feed. Common pests of Celosia include spidermites. The blooms are long lasting and often deadheading is rarely needed, but when the flowers do begin to fade you should remove to encourage fresh blooms.
