Lucas Greenhouses 6th Annual Poinsettia Trial - December 1st, 2026

Join us for our 6th Annual Poinsettia Trail and experience one of the East Coast’s premier opportunities to explore and compare poinsettia varieties!

This year’s trial will showcase approximately 200 poinsettia cultivars from our Young Plant liner program, grown side by side in #6.5 containers, with select varieties in #8.5 pots. From exciting new introductions to proven favorites, you’ll have the opportunity to evaluate plant habit, size, flower quality, color, and timing to help make informed decisions for your growing program.

 What makes our trial unique?

Our poinsettias are grown under natural day length with minimal chemical and cultural manipulation beyond standard PGR practices. This allows you to see how each variety naturally performs and flowers under Mid-Atlantic growing conditions, providing valuable insight into which cultivars best fit your production schedule and market.

Connect with our growers and industry representatives, ask questions, discover new varieties and see firsthand what makes each cultivar stand out.

Guided tours daily at 11:00 AM

We look forward to welcoming you to Lucas Greenhouses!
