"Energy efficiency building codes that greenhouses are required to meet could soon be much more stringent, unless the National Greenhouse Manufacturers Association is successful in its bid to gain exceptions on greenhouse owners’ behalf.

George Lucas, owner of Lucas Greenhouses in Monroeville, New Jersey, is concerned about the possibility of stricter energy codes impacting his ability to expand, so he asked Craig Humphrey, vice president of engineering for Nexus Corporation and chair of the NGMA Codes and Standards committee, to explain the dangers of the coming energy codes changes and what we as an industry can do to prevent them."
