Marjoram is sweeter and spicier than oregano but used in much the same way. This herb is great combined with garlic, onion, thyme or basil and you can even harvest the flowers for salads. Growing about 12 in. (30 cm) tall in the summer, the plants need room to breathe, so don’t overcrowd. You can begin lightly harvesting as soon as 6 weeks from planting.
