Impatiens walleriana 'Dazzler Pink'

Busy Lizzy

Dazzler Pink consists of masses of 1.5 inch clear pink blooms with a darker eye. These compact plants fill in quickly, giving you a blanket of color in the shade. Match them up with caladiums or some shade-loving coleus to give your shady spots and containers a burst of color. Remember, all Impatiens Walleriana varieties are susceptible to Impatiens Downy Mildew and we still warn that as great as these plants are, they should only be planted knowing the risk this disease still poses to this crop.

Height: 9-11 Inches

Spread: 13-15 Inches

Color: Pink

Growing Tips for Homeowners:

Impatiens are shade loving plants that should not be exposed to any more than a few hours of morning sun at the most. The dazzler series is very landscape friendly with its uniform growth across the series. Pinch back when needed if plants become to leggy. Apply a granular, slow-release fertilizer at install and then follow up weekly with a complete balanced liquid fertilizer. Impatiens prefer moist soil, but don’t allow them to in water as that will promote disease issues. This is a variety that is susceptible to the deadly Impatiens Downy-Mildew. We still do not recommend using Impatiens for this fact. Other diseases that may impact impatiens include pythium, rhizoctoria, botrytis and impatiens necrotic spot virus (INSV). Insect to watch out for include aphids and thips.
