Aster 'Hazy'

Asters are a flowering perennial that provides a stunning amount of blooms, in unique colors, for fall sales. The variety Hazy is a Early (North Sept. 11 - 16), Dark Pink Daisy, with Yellow Center, flowering Aster that can be found in our #9 pot. The flower size for Hazy is medium and the variety is sold under the pink category on the Lucas order sheet.

Space 18 - 24 inches apart. Plant in location with at least a half-day of sun with good soil drainage and air flow. Not recommended to plant near deck's, patio's or other social locations since they attract bees. Plant in landscape at same soil level as existing container. Water well after planting. Do not fertilize when plant is in bloom. Do not cut back old flowers and stems until following spring.

The pollen on open Aster flowers often attacts bees. It is best for Asters to be sold when only a few flowers are showing color. This will reduce the amount of bees your customers have to fight off when purchasing the plants and ensures the customer of maximum home enjoyment.
